Marie Rose Krall, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 1:00pm at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.

Marie was born August 28, 1921 in Iowa City, the daughter of Frank and Pauline Shebanek Shimitz. She married Donald Krall on April 19, 1944. Donald passed away November 15, 1987.

She is survived by her children, Donna Bright (Howard) of Harpers Ferry, Ginny Steinbrech (Daryl), and Ken Krall (Wendy); 7 grandchildren including Michelle (Terry) McAtee, Matt (Molly) Steinbrech, Jayna (Nic) Shalla, Sherri (David) Schott, Emily Krall, Luke (Casey) Krall, Abby (Brandon) Hove, 22 great-grandchildren, sister, Margaret (Terry) Handley, and special friend, Mel Braaten.

Marie is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother.

Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, travelling, dining out, fishing, watching bull-riding and Dancing with the Stars.
