Joseph S. Corso Jr., 70, of West Liberty died Friday, July 24, 2015.

Private family services will be held with burial at Oakhill Cemetery in Tiffin where military honors will be rendered.

Joseph Sando Corso Jr. was born August 31, 1944, in Iowa City; son of Joseph and Ethel (Gifford) Corso. After high school, he served three tours in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corps and after his discharge enlisted and served with the U.S. Army Reserves, retiring from the military after 24 years of service. He had also worked 24 years for the University of Iowa as a machinist in the power plant.

He was a member of the West Liberty American Legion, Mansell L. Phillips Post 509 and also enjoyed being a part of the GIVE foundation for veterans, Golf for Injured Veterans Everywhere.

Joe’s family includes his wife, Linda (Vesely) who he married March 19, 1971; daughter, Tammy Miller and her husband, Bryan of Tiffin; son, Jeff Corso also of Tiffin; grandson, Cade Corso and granddaughter, Sade Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
