Barbara Lee (Baldridge, Singer) Paul, beloved Mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed on July 18, 2015, after a long illness. She was born on May 6, 1935 in Cedar Rapids.

Barbara was a Graduate of Marion High School and St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids and earned Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nursing from University of Iowa, in Iowa City. She started her nursing career at St. Luke’s in the psychiatric unit, advanced to head nurse and later joined the St Luke’s School of nursing faculty and served in this capacity for decades. She finished her long nursing career as psychiatric nursing evening supervisor at the University of Iowa. During her adult life Barbara resided in Cedar Rapids and Coralville. She was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in IA City.

She is survived by her son John Baldridge and 2 grandsons Andrew and Matthew Balridge all of Missoula, MT. Barbara had one sister Nancy (Paul) Haag of Cedar Rapids and 2 nephews. Barbara leaves behind many friends, neighbors and professional colleagues. All will miss her kindness and warm smile.

Memorial Mass will be held at 9am Saturday, July 25, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City, with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery. To leave a condolence online please visit the Gay & Ciha Funeral Home website @ www.gayandciha.com.
