Sandra L. Mincks age 64 of 22 Erobi Lane, Iowa City was called home surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 1, 2004 at her home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at Gay and Ciha funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Indian Creek Cemetery rural Columbus Junction, Iowa. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Iowa City. In lieu of flowers memorials donations may be given to the Sandra Mincks memorial fund. Sandra Lee Mincks was born on January 7, 1940 in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Lloyd L and Evelyn Diller Moran. She attended Columbus Junction Schools and worked in food service at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic’s and Burge Residence Hall at the University. On June 24, 1989 she married Cecil E. Mincks. Sandy enjoyed cooking, playing cards and birds. She loved her family and camping, she was happiest sitting around a campfire with them. She was a member of the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church.

Her family includes her husband Cecil of Iowa City, daughters Joyce and husband Ralph Darnell of Muscatine, Iowa, Tina and husband Robert Leigh of Danville, Virginia, Judy Reed of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, a son Randal and wife Elizabeth Reed of Davenport, Iowa, her father Lloyd Moran of Columbus Junction, Iowa, grandchildren, Andrea, Brandon, Leann, Kyle, Jenna and Miranda, a brother, Ronald Moran of Las Vegas, Nevada, stepchildren, Randy Mincks of Velma, Washington and Dorena Brown of Caldwell, Idaho along with numerous nieces nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her first husband Robert J. Reed and a number of aunts and uncles. The Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service are caring for Sandy’s family and her services.
