Margaret A. Orrok, 90, a resident of Crestview Care Center, West Branch, died Monday, November 3, 2003 at Mercy Hospital.

Margaret was born February 9, 1913, the daughter of Oswald and Karen Christoffersen Kjeldseth. On May 27, 1933 she married Albert H. Orrok, Jr. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brooklyn, NY. He died in December, 1968. She worked for Continental Insurance Company of Manhattan until her retirement in October, 1975. On December 27, 1975 she married Eric Ericson of Brooklyn, New York at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Iowa City. They resided in Brooklyn until his death in February, 1993. She moved to Denver, Colorado to live with her son until June, 1999 when she moved to Iowa City to live with her daughter. She was a resident of Crestview Care Center, West Branch at the time of her death.

She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Brooklyn and served as secretary for the church council. She was a Girl Scout Leader for several years and also served as secretary for the Riverview Homes Association where she resided. She enjoyed traveling all over the United States to visit family and friends, and also visited many foreign countries. She was a caring and compassionate mother, wife, and friend who enjoyed volunteer work in her church and community wherever she happened to be living.

Survivors include her daughter Carolyn Narveson of Iowa City, Iowa; one son, Albert H. Orrok, III and his wife Vicki of Aurora, CO; six grandchildren, Richard S. Narveson and his wife Areta of Sonoma, CA, Lisa Narveson Udell and her husband David of Coronado, CA, Douglas Narveson of Iowa City, Jeffory Orrok of Aurora, CO, Gwen Orrok Hunt and her husband Brian of Boston, MA, and Darcy Orrok of Aurora, CO. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Iowa City Senior Center, and Trinity Lutheran Church, Brooklyn, NY.
