Maude Whitesell, 88, Idabel, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2003 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel. She was born May 15, 1911 at Lampasas, TX the daughter of Owen and Dora Belle Lee.

She married William Whitsell in 1960 at San Angelo, Texas and had lived in Idabel for several years moving here from Texarkana. She was a member of Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rights and loved dancing. She and her husband owned and operated the Idabel Glass Repair until 1997 and she was of the Baptist Faith.

Maude was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Whitsell, June 6, 1999; her parents, Owen J. and Dora Belle Lee; one son, Robert Devon Faubion; two brothers, Dude Lee and OJ Lee.

She leaves to cherish her memory very close friend and caretaker, Kathy Blake of Idabel; one sister, Faye Howell and husband, Ralph of Coleman, TX; one brother, Eldon Douglas Lee of Colleyville, TX; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nine nieces and four nephews.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday October 16, 203 at Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Idabel with Reverend Cletus Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City, Iowa.
