Mildred “Darlene” Miller, 75, of Swisher died peacefully Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Mercy Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. Visitation will be at the funeral home prior to the service, from 10:00 am to 12pm. Burial will be at Memory Gardens following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Mildred “Darlene” Miller memorial fund.
Darlene was born April 3, 1936 in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of William and Ida Irene Wilson. She worked for many years at her business, before retiring in 1993.
Darlene was a very loving and family oriented person, and family always came first.
Survivors include her daughter Deborah (Steve) Yakish of Solon and son David Miller (Lorene) of Marengo, Iowa; her sister Carolyn (Robert) Clark of Moline, Illinois and her brother Robert Robison (Jean) of Franklin, Wisconsin; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Richard Blakey.
