Paul P. Kruse

Williamsburg - Paul P. Kruse Sr., 86, of Williamsburg, a retired farmer, died at his home Sunday after a long illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in West Liberty. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Ulhmann Funeral Home in Williamsburg.

Mr. Kruse was born Dec. 22, 1896, in Muscatine County, a son of Peter and Bertha (Klink) Kruse. He married Marcella Atkins in 1930 at Springdale. Se died in 1937. He later married Elizabeth Johanna Dystra April 19, 1939, in Missouri.

He attended rural schools.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters Betty Jane (Mrs. John) Atkins of Ferris, Texas, Margaret (Mrs. Alvah) Hanke of Parnell,Pauline (Mrs. Donald) Hadenfeldt of Williamsburg, and Mary (Mrs. David) Vixon of Lone Tree; Six sons, William E. of Grandview, Paul Jr. of Hills, Harold of Parnell, Richard of Williamsburg, Robert of Middle Amana, David of Parnell; 31 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, helen Hilds of Rock Island, Ill., Marie Lang of Minneapolis, Ind., and Bertha Turkle of Walcott.

Four brothers, and six granchildren died earlier.
