Theresa Yeries, 89, of Iowa City Rehab and Health Care Center formerly of 2824 Newport Rd NE, Iowa City, died Tuesday September 16, 2003, after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2003, at 1:00pm at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwoood Ave. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Lensing’s. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Solon, Iowa. Memorials may be made in her name.

Theresa was born December 7, 1913 the daughter of John and Mary (Pesek) Kabela in Solon, Iowa. On March 27, 1930 she was united in marriage to Frank Yeries. She was a homemaker and a seamstress and she loved flowers. She also worked as a cook at Oaknoll for 5 years.

She is survived by her three sons, Kenneth Yeries and his wife Jeanne of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Leland Yeries and his wife Norma of Anderson, California, and Franklin Yeries and his wife Shirley of Oxford, Iowa; two daughters, Lorraine Kutcher and her husband Raymond of Iowa City, Iowa, and Mary Jean Stebral and her husband Paul of Iowa City, Iowa. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, 25 great great grandchildren, and one sister, Mary Maxey of Williamstown, Missouri.

Her parents, husband, two brothers, John and George, one sister, Clara, and one son, Stanley, all preceded her in death,.
