Donivan L. Gordon of Coralville, Iowa passed away on Tuesday July 27, at Mercy Hospice Care in Iowa City.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 29 at Ridgeview cemetery in North Liberty. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to Iowa City hospice or Mercy inpatient hospice.

Donivan Lewis Gordon was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on October First, 1932. He was the son of Warren and Ada Gordon. He attended and graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1950. He received a bachelor's and masters degree from the University of Iowa, graduating in 1957. He married Margaret McLeod in 1960. He worked as a geologist for the State of Iowa for many years until retiring in 1996. They were parents to three children - James D. Gordon, M.D. Of Tucson, Az, Andrew S. Gordon, PharmD, of Peoria,Il, Anne M. Bauer, of Cedar Rapids.

Don is survived by his two sons, a daughter, and six grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, and his parents.
