DEATH TAKES MRS. FOUNTAIN

Iowa City Resident, 60, Dies Early Today At Home Here

Mrs Sarah Fountain, 60, long time resident of Johnson county and Iowa City, died at 8:40 a.m. Today at her home , 103 Halley street.

Mrs Fountain was born December 2, 1889, in Chicago, the daughter of Anthony and Elsie Ackett Gallaugher. She was married to Harry Lee Fountain on October 6, 1909, at River Junction. The couple made their home near Iowa City at that time and later moved here.

Survivors include five daughters; Mrs Earl Frauenholtz, of Wapello, Mrs Charles Morgan, of West Liberty, Mrs Victor Hesseltine, of Wayland, and Mrs Carl Reese and Mrs Arthur Allison, both of Iowa City; two sons, James, of North Liberty, and Harry, Jr of West Liberty; one step-daughter, Mrs Rosa Poland, of Oakdale, and one brother Clarence Gallagher, of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 17, 1948, and two sons. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
