Everett E. Cline, 94, of 226 Magowan Avenue died this moring at an Iowa City nursing home after a short illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the George L. Gay Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Hancock officiating Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at noon Sunday.

Mr. Cline was born March 15, 1873, in Athens, Ill., the son of William and Maria Jane Perkins Cline. On Oct. 20 1897, he married Cora B. Underwood at Springfield, Ill.

He moved to Iowa City in 1932 and was founder of Cline Trucking and Equipment Co., being active in the business until retirement in 1960.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Iowa City, the Lions Club, the Elks Club, and the Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his widow of Iowa City, a son Kenneth of Iowa City, a daughter Mrs. Owen W. D. Friedel Craig of St. Joseph, Mo, seven grand-children and 12 great-grand-children.

He was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
