Mrs. Posten, 84, Dies; Plan Rites At Lone Tree

LONE TREE – Mrs Olive Posten, 84, for many years a resident of Lone Tree, died Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Theodore Schaapveld, at West Liberty.

Born in Johnson County, February, 17, 1872, she was a daughter of Emsley and Lucy Wood Fountain. She was married to William Posten in Iowa City.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Schaapveld and Mrs Mildred Williams, of Castle Rock, Wash., and two sons, Ross Posten, of Muscatine, and Forrest Posten of Iowa City. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Mike Jehle, of Lone Tree, Mrs Ed Miller, of West Bend, and Mrs Henry Schaapveld of Becker, Minn; and a brother, Ernest Fountain, of Bancroft, S. D.

Funeral Services will be at the Lone Tree Evangelical and Reformed Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev Harry T Ehlers officiating. Burial will be in Lone Tree cemetery. Borden and Adams funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
