Allison “Blaine” Scriven, 64, of Coralville, died Saturday June 18th, 2011, in his home.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday June 22nd at 1:00pm at Lensing Funeral Home, 210 Holiday Road in Coralville. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00pm Wednesday prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Coralville.
Blaine was born August 13th, 1946 in Kalona, the son of George and Vertie Scriven. He was a graduate of City High School.
He worked at Pearsons in Iowa City, as an Engineer, until his retirement in 2008.
Blaine also served in the Airforce as a Flight Simulator Technician.
Blaine is survived by his loving wife Linda, their daughter Roberta “Sue” Shepherd (Bill) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, his sister Janet Redlinger (Laverne), and a brother Gene Scriven, of Texas, four grandchildren; Christopher, Jenny, Carrie and Susan Shepherd. His grandchildren were the loves of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Rita Thess, and a brother in- law Lee, and a sister in-law Josie Scriven.
The family invites you to join them for refreshments after the service at the Funeral Home.
