Laura Kay Dickson, 62, formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, died peacefully at Briarwood Health Care Center in Iowa City, on May 15, 2011, surrounded by family.
She is survived by her sons Eric Dickson (Judith) of Iowa City, Andrew Dickson (Liz), of Omaha, Nebraska, her beloved grandchildren and a sister, Barb Delarme of Wisconsin.
After retiring in 2008 from her career as a Reference Librarian at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, she moved to Iowa City to be near family.
A memorial service to celebrate Laura's life will be held at a later date in Omaha, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Iowa City Hopsice.
