Rev. Dr. George W. Forell, 91, died peacefully Friday, April 29, 2011. Private family burial will be held in Argyle, WI with a Memorial Service to be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Iowa City at a date to be arranged. Memorial contributions may be made to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal in care of Lensing Funeral Home, 605 Kirkwood Avenue, Iowa City, IA 52240.

Survivors include his wife Elizabeth, two daughters: Dr. Madeleine (Gary) Forell-Marshall of Escondido, CA and Mary (Christopher Davis) Forell-Davis of Hoboken, NJ; four grandchildren: Matthew Forell Davis of Hoboken, NJ, Elizabeth (Ryan) Corrow and their children Emily and Alexander all of San Diego, CA, Katherine (Bernt) Hillesland and their children Joseph, Samuel, Isaac, Madeleine and Paul, all of Woodland Hills, CA, and Margaret (Karl) Hillesland and their child Soren all of San Carlos, CA.
