Homer T. Hill, age 84 of Washington, Iowa died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at his home following an extended illness.

At Homer’s request, no services are planned. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date at the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Illinois. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Homer’s family and his arrangements.

Homer Theodore Hill was born August 21, 1918, in Decatur, Illinois the son of Homer T. and Myrtle (Barnes) Hill. During War World II, Homer served in the United States Air Force. On November 15, 1950, he married Lucille Banner in Decatur, IL. For a number of years Homer worked for National Airlines in Lakeland, Florida. The couple moved to Washington, Iowa after his retirement.

His family includes his wife, Lucille and a number of children and stepchildren.
