Patricia M. Coy, 55 of 121 Pearl Street, died July 1, 2003 after a courageous battle with Leukemia.

There are no services planned. Memorials may be made to the Patricia M. Coy Memorial Fund. Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service is handling the arrangements.

Patricia was born October 31, 1947 the daughter of Frank D. and Marie G. (Kaiser) Coy. She earned both her BA and Masters degrees from the University of Iowa. She was in the process of completing her doctoral dissertation. She worked as a Graduate Instructor for the University and the in the writing lab.

Patricia was an avid animal lover. She was a Master Gardener; she had a great passion for learning and education. Her greatest love and joy was her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter Alexandria Freydberg of Washington, D.C., by three sisters, Marietta Lane and her husband Robert of Three Forks, Montana, Rita Rennick and her husband Robert of Syracuse, New York and Susan Coughlin and her husband Frank of Port Charlotte, Florida. She is also survived by many devoted friends and colleagues and by her beloved golden retriever, Sophie.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
