Maxwell James Wallace, 18 of Iowa City, died Sunday morning February 13, 2011. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be Thursday at 2 pm at the funeral home with a reception for family and friends following at The Kirkwood Room, next to the funeral home will follow the service.
Max was born September 15th, 1992 in Chicago, Il, the son of Patrick and Wendy Sauter Wallace. He attended Clear Creek High School. Max was an engaging, happy and sincere young man who loved life, his family, and his extensive network of friends. His love extended to his many passions including music and his pets, including his favorite feline Kit Kat. He always endeavored to make those around him happy. His memories will be with the many people who loved him and the images and sounds of his life will comfort them forever.
Max is survived by his parents, Wendy Wallace (John and Garrett Curry) of South Amana and Patrick Wallace (Amber Buster) of Iowa City, and his siblings Johanna and William, both of South Amana, and Emma (Hadar Calig) of Los Angeles; his girlfriend Vianna Peak, North Liberty, and her parents Timothy and Georgia; his grandparents , Mary Lee Wallace of Mt. Vernon and Jim and Ruth Ada Sauter of North English; aunts and uncles, Ed (Jan) Sauter, David (Lynn) Sauter, Dan (Heather) Sauter, Susie Sauter, Lisa (Roy) Austin, Roger (Becky) Moore, John (Elizabeth) Wallace, Andrea (Bill) Jones, Joan (David) Burge, Francesca (Don) Thompson; and numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
Max was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather William Wallace and his aunt, Kathy Moore.
In lieu of flowers, the Maxwell Wallace Memorial Fund has been established, c/o Box 167, Iowa City, IA 52244.
