Margaret Winter, 82

Margaret Winter, 82, formerly of Nolan Settlement and long time resident of San Diego, died Friday, October 18, 2002, at her home in San Diego following a sudden illness. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 pm at St. Bridget's Cemetery in Nolan Settlement, rural Solon. Friends may call Friday at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service from 12:30-1:30 om. Memorials may be directed to the Friends of St. Bridget's. Mrs. Winter was born February 26, 1920, in Nolan Settlement, the daughter of Patrick P. and Mary Kessler Donohoe. She married Clifford King Winter on May 31, 1941, at St Joseph's Cathedral in San Diego. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Iowa City and the Iowa State Teacher's College (UNI). She is survived by one brother-in-law, Marion Braddock of Bettendorf; three sisters-in-law, Danna Lu Donohoe and Nancy Donohoe of Stanwood, and Violet Donohoe of West Branch; several neices, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces. She was preceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Cliff; one sister, Marie Braddock; four brothers, Bernard, Bill, John and Francis "Bud"; and one great nephew, Patrick Leonard.
