Nancy E. Carlson, 93, of 1500 1st Avenue North in Coralville, died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City.

She was born June 18, 1916 in Davenport, the daughter of Arno F and Charlotte (Morgan) Emeis. She graduated from Davenport High School in 1934 and attended Augustana College. Nancy then graduated from the American Institute of Commerce in Davenport. She was a bookkeeper and administrative secretary at the Davenport Public Library.

She married Robert C. Radden on September 3, 1938 in Davenport, Iowa. The couple divorced in 1947. On July 3, 1964, Nancy married Leonard A. Carlson in Davenport. The couple divorced in 1995. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Davenport – where she volunteered many hours. Nancy enjoyed a passion for home decorating, cooking and playing bridge but above all, spending time with her grandchildren, who were dear to her.

She was also a member of the Quad City Book Club and P.E.O.. Nancy moved to Coralville in 2007 to be closer to family and attended Coralville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathe E. Gannon of Coralville, Iowa and her son Ian Gannon; Karna Greaser and her husband J. Newton of River Falls, Wisconsin and their children Kirk Greaser (Lois), their children Madelyn and Zachary; Kevin Greaser; and Kristin Bahr (Markus) and their children Gretchen and Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
