Virginia M. Hogan, 92, of Coralville, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 8, 2010, at Lantern Park Care Center. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bob Hunt Funeral Home, Cave City, Ky., with burial in the Cave City. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Lensing’s Oak Hill, Coralville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Mercy Hospital Foundation for Mercy Hospice, Iowa City Hospice or First Christian Church.

Virginia was born August 4, 1917, in Knoxville, Md., the daughter of James and Mary Bussard Moore. On Nov. 20, 1946, Virginia married James W. Hogan in Chicago.

Virginia and her husband had lived in Washington, D.C., and various communities in Kentucky, Iowa, Minnesota and Missouri. Following her husband’s death in 1987, Virginia moved to Coralville, where she lived for 22 years. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Virginia is survived by three children, James (Martha) Hogan of Allen, Texas, Robert Hogan of Kirkland, Wash., and Patricia Brice of Coralville; four grandchildren, Kevin, Casey, Betsy and Samantha; great-granddaughter, Kathryn; three brothers, Morris, Tommy and Bill; and three sisters Frances, Aileen and Eleanor.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, James, Paul and Richard; one sister. Online condolences may be sent to www.lensingfuneral.com
