William Kessler, 90

William P. Kessler, 90, of Solon, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1997, at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon, with the Rev. Joseph Sparks officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Brosh Funeral Home in Solon, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund.

Mr. Kessler was born Feb 3, 1906, in rural Solon, the son of Adolph and Teresa (Ryan) Kessler.

Mr. Kessler was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a lifelong resident of Solon, farming in the area all his life.

Survivors include one sister, Irene Costolo of Coralville, and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, two sisters, and four brothers died earlier.
