Donald L. “Don” Wood, 53, of 419 S. Johnson Street in Iowa City, died unexpectedly of natural causes Friday, April 9, 2010 at his home.

Don was born July 30, 1956 in Sacramento, California, the son of William & Shirley (May) Wood. He graduated from High School in Lenox, Iowa and received a degree in psychology from Iowa State University in 1978. Don moved to Iowa City that same year and has since, made Iowa City his home.
He was a programmer with Leepfrog Technologies in Iowa City. For those that knew Don, he liked to juggle and was drawn to anything electronic, whether it be new, old or begging to be torn apart. He did enjoy spending time with his nephews and niece.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley Wood of Arkansas City, Kansas; three sisters, Connie (John) Bolz of Wentzville, Missouri, Bonnie (Mark) Blatchford of Arkansas City, Kansas and Linda (Ken) Sommers of Sacramento, California; 2 nephews, Devin and Kristofer and a niece Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his father.
