Nell Langhurst, 93, of Iowa City, died peacefully Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

Nell deeded her body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. No services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.

Nellie Olevia Langhurst was born December 22, 1916 in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of Claren J. and Olivia Blanche (DeWitt) Hinshaw. She married Ray Langhurst August 8, 1942 in Cedar Rapids.
Nell was a longtime resident of the Cedar Rapids / Marion area.

Survivors include her daughter Nancy Parizek (Jake) of Iowa City and Ross Langhurst (Cindee) of Shawano, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Nathan Langhurst of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Katie Popp (Justin) of Shawano, Wisconsin, Chris Parizek and Molly Parizek, both of Iowa City and four great-grandchildren.

Nell was preceded in death by her husband, brothers Claren Jennings Hinshaw and Harvey Hinshaw and one sister, Elvira Wehrman.
