Bessie I. Zwicki, 90, of Hiawatha, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids.

Bessie was born October 31, 1919 in Swisher, Iowa, the daughter of William and Mary (Andrlik) Slezak. She married James Zwicki May 13, 1978 in Coralville, Iowa. Bessie was a homemaker. Bessie had an amazing gift for crocheting and she very much enjoyed baking. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband James;
sons, David Maresh (Joyce) and Larry Maresh (Sandra), all of Swisher, and Thomas Detweiler (Nancy) of Hiawatha;
daughters, Carol Eldeen-Todesco (Joe) of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Connie Detweiler Lamp (Ron) of Scottsdale, Arizona and Debra Griffith (Eric) of Goldsboro, North Carolina; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Robert Slezak and a sister Mary Ann Drahos.
