Anthony M. Nixon, 21 of Iowa City died unexpectedly at his residence on Friday February 19, 2010.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 1, 2010, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City. There will be visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his memory. Anthony Mervyn Nixon was born May 29, 1988, in Cedar Rapids. He attended Iowa City Schools, Regina, Hoover Elementary, Southeast Junior High, and graduated from City High School. Since high school he has attended Kirkwood Community College and worked at the First Avenue Hy Vee Store. Anthony enjoyed his life; he loved music, computers, reading, and his natural gift with people.

His family includes his parents, Wilfrid and Kathrine Nixon; siblings, Rachel Nixon, Veronica Nixon, and Thomas Nixon and his wife, Allison all of Iowa City; his "Granny", Margaret Nixon of Dorset, England; other special family members, Rob and Sue Ettema and their family, Will, Alex, Edward, and Jennifer of Laramie, WY; Rosemary and Alf Bray and their family, Jessica and Victoria; Marie and Kelvin Whitfield and their family, Peggy and Nick; Cecelia Weston and her family, Christopher and Clair and Matthew Ingram and their son Harry; Peter and Tracy Gill; Victor Gill and his family, Sarah and Rebecca; Steven Gill; Charlotte and Guy Batterbury and their family, Emily, Alice, and Edward; and Peter and Val Burt all of England.
