Anita L. (Wolfe) Eliason, age 44 of West Branch, died Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City from complications of Diabetes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2003 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City with the Reverend Scot Patrick of the West Branch United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made in Anita’s memory to the American Diabetes Association. Online condolences may be sent for Anita’s family through our website @ www.gayandciha.com.

Anita was born October 23, 1958 in Iowa City the daughter of William Thomas and Alma Louise (Tribby) Wolfe. She graduated from West Branch High School in 1977. On March 10, 1984, she married Steven L. Eliason in West Branch. She has worked for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Steindler Orthopedic Clinic both in Iowa City and most recently at Families Inc. in West Branch. Anita was a member of the West Branch United Methodist Church, HiLo Card Club in West Branch, former Girl Scout Leader in West Branch, and she enjoyed doing crafts, especially knitting, crocheting and stitching.

Her family includes her husband, Steven; daughter, Lindsay R. Eliason who is a student at Coe College in Cedar Rapids; sisters, Nora “Bea” Fulwider of Tipton, and JoAnne Lawrence of West Branch; brothers, Larry and his wife, Happy Wolfe of Cedar Rapids, Mike and his wife, Jerri Wolfe of Lone Tree and Rob Wolfe of Iowa City; mother-in-law: Nellie Eliason of Pella; sisters-in-law, Mickey Eliason of Iowa City and Julie and her husband, Kevin Thompson of Des Moines; brothers-in-law, Doug and his wife, Lavonne Eliason of Salem, OR, Jim Eliason of Huntsville, AL, and Rich and his wife, Michelle Eliason of Des Moines; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Brandy, two infant brothers, and her father-in-law, Mel Eliason.
