James Dennis Schlote, 73 of 518 7th Ave, Coralville died peacefully Thursday, January 15, 2004 with his family by his side.

He was born June 6, 1930 the son of Theodore and Katherine (Dunn) Schlote in Scribner, Nebraska. On March 29, 1951 he married Nancy Lee Mills in Sacramento, California. He worked as a plumber for Mulfords in Iowa City.

He is survived by his wife Nancy of Coralville, Iowa, his daughter, Linda Schlote of Coralville, two grandsons, John and Steve Schlote of Coralville, Iowa, two great grandchildren, Crystal and Mitchell. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Nearod and her husband Wilbur of Solon, Iowa, John Schlote of Iowa City, Iowa, Ted Schlote and his wife Lynn, Steve Schlote and his wife Sandy both of Solon, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Katherine Schlote, his mother and father-in –law, Floyd and Greta Mills and two brother-in-laws, Jack Nowland and Frank Kelsy and Sister-in-law, Florence Schlote.
