Mary Jane Miller, 78, of 7 Princeton Court died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Oaknoll Retirement Residence following a brief illness.

Mary was born December 8, 1925 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Dewey and Ruth Linke McArdle. Mary graduated from Marquette University in 1948 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. She married Lyle Miller on September 3, 1949 in Milwaukee.

Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society,
St. Bridget’s Bridge Group, and had been a member of the Questers, Theta Phi Alpha and the University Club.

Mary loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a true lady who had a gentle demeanor and was always impeccably groomed. She took great pride in making her house a home for all those who entered.

Mary is survived by her husband Lyle and their three children: Mark Miller of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Jane (John) Altenbach and their children Mark, Katherine and Patricia, all of Milwaukee and Susan (William) Noser and their children Ryan, Robert and Elizabeth of Iowa City, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
