Carl Tim Lynch, 53, of 4302 Moira Avenue SE died Friday, July 30, 2004
at Mercy Hospital following a sudden illness.

Funeral Services to celebrate Tim’s life will be held Monday, August 2, 2004 at 11AM at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7PM at the funeral home. A reception at the Hills Community Center will follow the committal service. A memorial fund has been established in Tim’s name.

Tim was born February 5, 1951 in Iowa City, the son of Francis and Helen Ann Aller Lynch. He was a 1969 graduate of Regina High School. Tim married Kathy Waite on August 12, 1978 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Tim was employed by the Lear Corporation for 15 years and also worked part time in the circulation department at the Daily Iowan for 22 years.

Tim had a strong work ethic. He loved humor and enjoyed a good practical joke. Tim was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association. He loved nature and was a true conservationist. Tim enjoyed duck hunting, playing cards, especially euchre, dominoes and watching the Boston Celtics.

Tim is survived by his wife Kathy and their three sons:
Jon (Tracy) Ladage of Solon, Iowa, Brad Lynch and Bryan Lynch, both of Iowa City;
Two grandchildren, Ryan and Jenna Ladage; three brothers, Richard Lynch of San Antonio, Texas, Jerry (Sue) Lynch of Davenport, Iowa, and Michael Lynch of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Jo (Dave) Gerot of Bonaqua, Tennessee and Nancy (Wayne)
Grout of Riverside, Iowa.
