Elberta C. Dautremont, 98, formerly of North Liberty died Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at Iowa City Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Elberta was born September 28, 1905 in Iowa City, the daughter of Elbert and Emma Spreng Miller. She married Elmer “Dutch” Dautremont on October 25, 1926 in Iowa City.

Elberta was a graduate of Iowa City City High School and the Irish Business College. She had been a secretary in the purchasing department at the University of Iowa, until retiring in 1968.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the loving staff and friends who cared for their mother during her illness.

Elberta is survived by her two daughters; Corrinne Parker of Bellevue, Iowa and Marilynn (Tom) Alberhasky of Iowa City; her sister, Bernice Boyce of West Des Moines; her brother, Bert (Donna) Miller of Iowa City; eight grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Lawrence and Eldon and three sisters, Edna Guiles, Edith Stoner and Elynore Spacek.
