Services:Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 12 at 12:00 noon at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Avenue in Iowa City. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation:Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 12 from 11:00-12:00 also at Lensing's. Memorial donations may be made in her name.

Gwendolyn Faye Johnson entered into this world.
Gwen was the oldest of 5 children born to Olivia Johnson.

Gwen received her education in the Chicago School System where she graduated from Gage Park High School in 1978.

On June 23, 1992, Gwen married Timothy Payne.
To this union four children were born;
Tia, Reginald, Gerald, and Kyle.

Gwen and family relocated to Iowa City, Iowa
where she lived until her going home on April 4, 2006.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; one daughter Tia; three sons Reginald, Gerald, and Kyle: One granddaughter Imani. Her mother Olivia; two sisters Jarita and Latrina; two brothers Anthony and Robert and a host of family and friends.
