Pauline Edwards Holmes died at 5:05 pm on June 14, 2006.

Survivors include her two daughters and their husbands, Sandy (Tom) Strong and Linda (Tim) Dallman and two granddaughters, Kerrie (Mary) Dallman and Lori (Brian) Sager of Colorado. Four nieces also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry in 1990, brother Glen Edwards, sisters Hazel Jones, Fern Marshall, and Irene Smith. Also, one nephew, Jerry Marshall.

Pauline was born to Harry L. and Ida Duncan Edwards on May 19, 1914 at their home in Louisa County. She attended school at Cotter, Iowa and Business College in Des Moines. She was married to Gerald (Jerry) Holmes on December 26, 1936. They spent most of their married life in Iowa City where they owned and operated The Iowa Nut Company for many years. She was later employed as a receptionist in the Otolaryngology Department at University Hospital. In July 1995, she moved to a retirement area in Arvada, Colorado to be nearer her family.
