Troy Francis Rohret, 36, of Spring Hill, KS, died suddenly April 14, 2007, of a heart complication.

Troy was born October 6, 1970 in Iowa City, IA, the son of James and Patricia Rohret of Cosgrove, IA. Troy was a 1989 graduate of Clear Creek High School. During that time he was an honor student, participated in many sports, earned the athlete of the year award, went to state in golf, and was a state wrestling champion. He received his degree in Civil Engineering at Iowa State University.

He worked for the Fugro-McClelland Marine Geosciences, Inc. in Houston, TX, which took him to many places around the world. He took a job with Terracon Engineering in Lenexa in 1999.

On March 19, 2005, Troy married the love of his life Jenny Rohla. They moved to Spring Hill in 2005.

Troy had a great love of spending time with family and friends, golfing, traveling and helping others. He was a die-hard Iowa Hawkeye fan. Troy had a special talent as a handyman around the house. Troy’s skills with operating and building computers enabled him to routinely help many of his family and friends. Troy enjoyed working in his yard with many plans on how to give it “curb appeal”. Troy took care of what was his, especially Jenny and Elizabeth.

Being a father to Elizabeth made him so happy. She was his pride and joy. He adored the way she lit up when she saw her “Da”.

Troy is survived by his wife Jenny and his 10 month old daughter Elizabeth; his parents; his sisters, Beverly Rohret, Houston, TX, Susan (Chris) Lange, Somerset, KY; his brothers Steve (Julie) Rohret, Scott Rohret, rural Oxford, IA, Martin (Michelle) Rohret of St. Peters, MO; numerous nephews and nieces and sister-in-law Cristy (Ross) Flemmer of Sioux Falls, SD.
