Jack began and ended his career working with people in Personnel (later known as Human Resources). In between, he held a number of senior management and executive positions in a variety of businesses ranging from foods to recycling. He served in the Army as a medic in WWII, winning a Bronze Star, and was a member of American Legion Post 721. After retirement, he continued to give of his time and talents in several volunteer capacities, including SCORE. But of all his accomplishments, the one he was most proud of was his family, who will miss his kindness, humor and indomitable spirit. He never had a bad day.
The family wishes to give its special thanks to the wonderful staff of Mercy Hospice and Iowa City Hospice for all of their help during Jack’s last days.
