Glen D. Drew, 76, of Coralville died Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his home following a sudden illness.

Glen was born November 23, 1931 in Marshalltown,.Iowa, the son of William and Geneva Stonewall Drew. Glen married Esther Bruene on September 30, 1956.

Glen was a well-known florist in the Iowa City area for over 36 years, where he managed Eicher’s Greenhouse and Florist. Prior to moving to Iowa City in 1959 he served as a Methodist minister in Sheldahl, Iowa.

Glen was a graduate of the American Floral Art School in Chicago. He served on the Floral Culture Board at Kirkwood College, and was past president of the Tri-City Floral Club. He was a guest floral designer at floral conventions in Iowa, Illinois and Nebraska, and presented travelogues at the Iowa City Senior Center. Glen loved to
garden, and travel throughout the world.

Glen is survived by his two children; James “Dwight” (Debbie) Drew of Traer, Iowa
and Valinda (Dale) Meyer of North Liberty; three grandchildren, Jacque Gutwein, Jason and Dana Drew; 5 great grandchildren, Bobby, Elise, Jaci, Lillie and Garrett; three siblings,
Richard (Edna) Drew and Mildred Moore, both of Marshalltown and Sarah Berdeen Drew of Coralville; his former spouse, Esther Drew of Iowa City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, Lucille, Jeanette and Charles.
