Charles F. “Chuck” Fulton, 88, of Iowa City, died Thursday, October 2, 2008
at the Iowa City Rehabilitation and Care Facility following a lengthy illness.

Chuck was born May 18, 1920 in Iowa City, the son of Jess and Laura Kindl
Fulton. He was a graduate of Iowa City City High School and served in the US Army during WWII. On April 6, 1946 he married Josephine Ball in Iowa City.

Chuck had been employed with the City of Iowa City in the streets department for many years. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. Chuck enjoyed the time
spent with family and friends, camping and hunting.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Josephine and their two children, Charles (Terri) Fulton and Sandra Jo Jirsa, both of Iowa City; two grandchildren, Tiffani and Jason Fulton; two brothers, Ken (Marilyn) Fulton of Iowa City and William (Toni) Fulton of North Liberty.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Keith, Gene and Richard, and one sister, Betty Courtney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Charles Fulton Memorial Fund.
