Thor Ehrstine Heineman, son of Glenn Ehrstine and Elizabeth Heineman, died at birth on November 12, 2008. Thor—his nickname, coined by his brother Josh, and the name the family knew him best by—was active and healthy throughout pregnancy, and weighed 8 lbs 9 oz at birth.

Thor is survived by his parents and his brother; grandparents, Herb and Maggie Heineman of Lumberton, NJ and Joan and Marlin Ettinger of
Plymouth, MI; aunts and uncles, Linda, Jim and Kirsti, Sue and Bill, and Johanna; cousins, Rachel and Ethan. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ellis Ehrstine.
