Judith Ann “Judy” Crone, 63, formerly of 330 College Street in Tiffin, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton after a long illness.

Visitation will be Friday from noon until 2:00 pm at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Reverend Beverly Marshall-Goodell officiating.
Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Iowa City Shelter House.

Judy was born May 21, 1945 in Rock Island, Illinois. She was raised in Washington, Iowa and upon graduating from Washington High School, Judy completed a Medical Technology program in Minneapolis. She worked as a secretary for the University of Iowa, retiring in 1997.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Tiffin.

Survivors included her daughter, Jaime Masterson & her husband Steven Edwards of Tama, a grandson, Steven Edwards Jr., also of Tama; a brother, Thomas Crone & his wife Aileen of Tama and a sister, Phyllis Scott & her husband Arnold of Ackworth, Georgia; uncle and aunt, Richard & Geri Weeks of Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother “Jack” John Crone.
