Macoy Patrick Finnegan, 5, son of Matthew Finnegan & Melinda Ramsey, died unexpectedly Monday, March 16, 2009 at his home after overcoming numerous and lifelong health issues.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 20th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30 at Lensing’s. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be directed to the Macoy P. Finnegan Memorial Fund, which has been established at WestBank in Iowa City, 1910 Lower Muscatine Road, Iowa City, Iowa, 52240.

Macoy Patrick Finnegan was born March 10, 2004 in Iowa City. A very happy boy, Macoy loved to laugh and be outside. He loved to feel the rain upon his face and always had fun with his brothers.

Macoy is survived by his parents, Melinda & Matthew, of Iowa City;
Brothers, Miles Ramsey, age 10, Mason Finnegan, age 2 and Maxwell Finnegan, age 2;
his grandparents, Clint and Elizabeth Finnegan of Iowa City, Michael Keniry of Jackson, Wyoming and Yvonne Ramsey of Muscatine, Iowa;
aunts and uncles, Samantha Finnegan, Jeffrey Finnegan, Jacob Finnegan, Sean Wiese and David Ramsey.
