Robert Gregg “Batman” Nelson, 56, of Iowa City died at UIHC Thursday, March 19, 2009 following an extended illness.

Memorial Services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Coralville United Methodist Church with Rev Doug Williams officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Baton Rouge, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Church or to Reach For Your Potential.

Gregg was born February 11, 1953 in De Witt, IA. He had been active with Goodwill Industries. Gregg loved Batman and liked food and music, especially his involvement with West Music’s Sound Reach Program.

Survivors include his mother Betty Nelson of Baton Rouge, LA, his siblings, Gunner
(Mary Anne) Nelson of Ocean Springs, MS, Lisa (Mark) Stanley of Baytown, TX, and
Terri (Jeff) Crisfasi of Baton Rouge, LA; four nephews and one niece; and his many friends.
