Maggie Amelia Rose Rogerson, 8 month old daughter of Ryan and Kelli Rogerson of Iowa City, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Following a private visitation and burial, a Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 pm Friday, May 1st at Lensing Funeral Home, 605 Kirkwood Avenue, Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Maggie Rogerson Memorial Fund for her sister Piper’s college education.

Maggie was born on August 2, 2008 to Ryan and Kelli Rogerson. She was deeply loved and cherished by her whole family, especially her mom and dad and big sister, Piper. Maggie’s constant beautiful smile and big blue eyes will always be remembered.

Maggie is survived by her parents and her sister, Piper. Her grandparents are Rusty and Cindy Rogerson, Daniel and Jeanne Berg, and Greg and Virginia Van Nostrand. Great-grandparents are George and Rita Rogerson, Wanita Cline, Elaine Langenberg, Leander Berg, and Carol Van Nostrand. Also surviving are her aunts and uncles Kari Berg and Missy and Jason Westphal, and numerous great-aunts and great-uncles. Cousins include Isaac Crawford, and Hayden, Cameron and Brennan Westphal.

Maggie was preceded in death by her uncle Nicholas Berg, great-aunt Nancy Wagner; great-grandfather Joe Langenberg; great-grandfather Robert Cline; great-grandfather Maurice Van Nostrand; and great-grandmother Mary Berg.

During her time with us, Maggie joyfully made us laugh and touched each of us in her own delightful way. She will forever be our sweet, precious angel.
