Linda M. Dean Williams, 64, of North Liberty died Friday, May 15, 2009 at Mercy Hospital following a brief illness.

Linda was born March 2, 1945 in Iowa City, the daughter of Maurice and Julia Miller Dean. She was a graduate of Regina High School and the Irish Business College.

Prior to moving to Colorado where she lived for ten years, Linda had been employed at Economy Advertising. Upon her return to Iowa City, Linda was employed for 30 years as a Health Maintenance Specialist at the UIHC. Linda liked to read, crochet and garden. She loved animals, flowers, and especially cherished the time spent with family and friends.

Linda is survived by her mother, Julia Dean Miltner of Iowa City and three siblings, Bob (Kathie) Dean of Montgomery, TX and their children Lissa and Greg, Larry (Laurie) Dean of Cupertino, CA and their children Emily and Courtney, and Mary Ellen (Bruce) Schwab of Iowa City and their daughter Kristin and four grand nephews and one grand niece. Linda was preceded in death by her father.

A time for family and friends to gather and celebrate Linda’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund had been established in her name. Arrangements are with Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service.
