A.J. ROUP SR. DIED YESTERDAY
A. JJ. Roup, Sr., passed away yesterday at the home of his daughter at Toronto, Iowa, after a short illness. He was 84 years of age and was well known and highly respected in the community. He has lived at Green Castle, above North Liberty a number of yyears. His remains will arrive this afternoon and will be taken to Schneider Bros., undertaking parlors. The fuuneral will take place tomorrow at 1 p.m. Services at the grave in Green Castle cemetery at 1:45. Rev. Heisey of North Liberty officiating.

He is survived by two sons, A.J. Roup, Jr. and Carl Roup. Also three daughters, Mrs. Jake Potter of Tiffin, Mrs. Chas. Wolfe near Oxford, and the daughter atToronto, at whose home he died.
