Services:A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Sharon Center United Methodist Church, 2804 520th Street SW, with Reverend Doug Cue officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to The Dorothy Dayton Memorial Fund.
Visitation:Dorothy chose to be cremated. No visitation will be held.
Dorothy L. Dayton, 80, of 2332 Liberty Drive in Coralville, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City after a short illness.

Dorothy was born August 28, 1928 in Pillager, Minnesota, the daughter of Paul & Minnie (Pietz) Rundell. She married Earl Dayton January 5, 1963 in Iowa City. Dorothy was a homemaker and provided day care in her home for many years. She loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and collected dolls.

She is survived by a brother, Bob Rundell & his wife Carol and a sister, Laverne Hicks, all of
Dalles, Oregon and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl, brothers Arnold and Darold Rundell and a sister Myrtle Diltz.
