Rosemary was born August 27, 1928 in Manly, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Pauline Roskup. She attended schools in Iowa City. Rosemary worked for the University of Iowa dormitories in housekeeping for 20 years, retiring in 1986. She married Robert ‘Speed” Dahnke in September 1976.

She is survived by her sons, John Jones (Carole) of Amana, Iowa, Gray Bender (Barbara) of Vacaville, California, Donald Britt (Kay) Cerrilos of New Mexico, Delbert Jones (Sharon) of Bonanza, Arkansas, Richard Jones of Mountainburg, Arkansas and Dale Jones (Teresa) of Iowa City, daughters, Sandy Stephenson of Iowa City and Chris VanDenBerg (Les) of Durango, Colorado, 1 step-son Robert Dahnke (Cindy) of Iowa City, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Speed in December 2003 and a son in law, Daryl Stephenson
