January 19, 1891 - Monday Evening
John O. Mahana of 850 Sixth Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa, died at midnight of last night of heart disease, aged 62. He leaves a wife (Sarah Shaw), a son George, and a daughter, Mrs. Sinclair to mourn his loss. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 P.M. from the house. All friends and family being invited without further notice.
(Note: John O. Mahana was a son of Captain Bradley Mahana and Catherine Seals. He was born 15 Jul 1829 Waynseburg, Greene Co PA and died 19 Jan 1891 in Des Moines, Polk Co IA. He was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Des Moines, Polk Co IA.))
