Harry W. "Dutch" Laschke, 87, of 511 South Madison Street, died at his home Thursday, June 13, 1991, after a short illness.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jack Gallagher officiating. Burial will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the George L. Gay Funeral Home where a vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Memorial donations can be given to the American Heart Association or Ronald McDonald House.

He was born July 9, 1903 in Tiffin, the son of William and Anna Herman Laschke. He was a welder and mechanic for the Johnson County Maintance for 48 years, retiring in 1968.

He married Edna Frees, of Oxford, Nov. 12, 1924, in Iowa City. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a member of the Antique Car Club.

He is survived by two sons, William of Iowa City and Harvey of St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Ann (Mrs. Jack) Bock of Iowa City; a sister, Bertha Michel of Iowa City; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

His wife died February 8, 1990. A grandson, five sisters and a brother also died earlier.
