Funeral at Solon

Mrs. Mary Kessler, Aged Eighty-Eight Passes Away.

Solon, March 22 -- The funeral services of the late Mrs. Mary Kessler were held Saturday at 10 a.m. from St. Mary’s, Rev. Father McCarville was in charge. Mrs. Kessler was one of the county’s oldest pioneers and was 88 years of age at her death. She had been a sufferer for several months from a malignant cancer, death coming as a welcome relief on Wednesday night. Mrs. Kessler’s husband, Fidel Kessler, died some years ago, since then she has been living with her son Charles, first on the farm south of town, then in Solon. She is survived by 10 children. Two died in years gone by.
